Our priority at Ragged Rascals is to provide a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for babies and toddlers up to the age of 4, with a variety of clean brightly coloured softplay equipment, such as a caterpillar tunnel, a tunnel labyrinth, playhouse, ball pit, a bouncy castle and much more. We even have a dressing up box for those little rascals who want to be imaginative!
We also have an area just for the babies to explore! This consists of a large selection of clean Vtech toys, play gyms and play nests.

Ragged Rascals gives the children the opportunity to interact and form relationships with other children, whilst building their confidence. We also feel it's just as important to create a warm, friendly and relaxing environment for the grown-ups and give them the opportunity to socialise with other parents whilst enjoying a delicious hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows!
Sessions
Thursdays are proving very popular and due to Health and Safety Regulations, my limit in the hall is 50 children. These sessions are a first come first served basis so I do advise customers to arrive early.

Cleanliness
Apart from trying to create a warm relaxing atmosphere at our playgroups, we feel that it is extremely important to offer our customers CLEAN equipment for the children to play with ! We disinfect all our equipment after every session! ALL our soft toys are washed with non-bio detergent!

About me
My name is Lara Kerr and I'm 36 years old. I have two children aged 4 and 6.
I started Ragged Rascals when my youngest was 6 months old. Since opening my company in 2008, my playgroup sessions have grown. I find it particularly encouraging that I hardly advertise, putting the success of it down to word of mouth. I have been receiving some fantastic feedback from my customers about the great atmosphere my sessions create and how clean and well maintained my equipment is.
I love my job, I love the social aspect of it, talking and getting to know the parents and children and I particularly enjoy knowing that they enjoy their time at Ragged Rascals.
Some of my past customers, whose children are sadly too old for my sessions now, have met other mums at Ragged Rascals and they have ended up becoming lifelong friends, which to me means a lot!
I enjoy marathon running and here is a photo of me just having run the London Marathon in 2009 where I raised £3,800 for FSID (The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths). I also enjoy raising money for local charities, recently raising money for The Rosie Campaign.
