Parents/guardians/carers should note that every possible effort has been made to ensure children's optimum safety. Although Ragged Rascals does hold insurance cover with
Pre-School Learning Alliance, please be aware that the children you bring with you remain your responsibility. Ragged Rascals cannot be held responsible for accidents that occur as a result of playing on the equipment.

Responsibility
We know that all children get excited, however if Ragged Rascals feels that any child misbehaves on any equipment putting themselves or other children at risk, then Ragged Rascals reserves the right to ask the child to take time out.
Equipment Safety
All the equipment at Ragged Rascals is new, clean, safe, and most importantly conforms to the CE Safety Standards. For further information please ask.
Bouncy Castle
A copy of our inflatable (bouncy castle) PIPA Inspection certificate (016493) can be shown upon request. This Certificate confirms that the Inflatable has been tested and conforms with the safety criteria required by the Draft European Standard N496. You can check the equipment's test status by visiting www.pipa.org.uk and entering our TAG number 20617. We recently had our annual PIPA inspection on our bouncy castle November 2010 and has passed all its safety checks and PAT testing.

CRB Check
All staff at Ragged Rascals are Criminal Record Bureau checked. Certificate can be shown if requested.
Cleanliness/Hygiene We strongly believe that it's important to provide a clean environment for our customers and their little ones to play in which is why we clean our matting and all our softplay equipment on a weekly basis. We also request that shoes must be taken off before playing on the softplay area, to prolong the life of the equipment and matting.
For hygiene reasons all children and adults must wear socks whilst playing on the softplay area. All soft toys are washed on a weekly basis in Non-bio detergent.
Illness / Accident / First Aid
All children get sick, however we would like to request that children who don't feel well, to come to the playgroup on another day when they feel better.
If your child does suffer an injury we will ask you for full details to be recorded in the Ragged Rascals Accident Record Book and will do all we can to ensure that further risks are minimised.
A well stocked First Aid box is available. Please ask Lara should anyone require it.
